96 S500. Failed emission test. Changed the O2 sensor, however, mechanic said I need to drive the cay 100 miles for the system to reset. I did and went back for retesting, mechanic said the car is still not ready and I need to drive the car for a few more days. How long does this take? and is there a way to manually getting the system to sync?

Thanks much!
charles

It depends, based on my vehicle, last time I cleared the codes it took over a week of driving (50-60mi/day) to get the statuses to show ok rather than incomplete.

It is a function of run time per startup - and number of start/warmup cycles.
