want estimate of $ to ac repair expansion valve

    The last one ( for me ) took about 2 hours to replace the valve, as it is in side the dash, behind the glove box area ( roughly). It takes 1 hour to properly service the A/C system after work is completed and the valve is about $150 and the R-134 refrigerant is another $75. So I would figure about 3 hours plus $225 in parts. Most labor rates are about $90 so it is 225 + 270 = $495

    Check bimmerspecialist.com or partsgeek.com for cheaper prices on ac exp valves ($35). Shop around for shops wlling to take less money to install. l suggest about $200 parts and labor.
