 Rookie

i have a 2008 explorer with the v-8. the exhaust seems to be more muffled than our previous 2002 with the v-8. i looked under the truck and there seems to be another muffler. any ideas as to what one i can remove without replacing the whole system. the old one had a good sound.

    Having a custom exhaust put in will be the only way to gain the sound you used to hear. Hacking apart the current exhaust is not the best way to approach changing the exhaust tone.
    As 'most people' want a super quiet automobile, the car companies keep stuffing more resonators and mufflers into the exhaust system to get it as quiet as possible.

    thanks, kind of figured that was going to be the way to go. what do you think of gibson's system for the explorer?
