could a 1993 toyota camry have an exceleration problem just like the newer cars that were just recalled? Could this year, make and model excelerate on its own?

    As far as I know, that year of Camry is not included in the official recall, but that doesn't mean it's impossible to have a problem. If you suspect your car of exhibiting this behavior, take it in to a repair shop or dealership.
