2003 BMW 525i Question: EVAP Large leak detected

autozone diagnotic says says it could be the evap canister broke, hose cracked or not connected. Purge or vent solenoid defective. vacuum leak at engine

    Please, beware of Auto zone, they mean well but are not trained technicians. Really need to know the code number. Firstly, replace your gas cap with a factory BMW gas cap and go from there. I have repaired quite a few BMW EVAP codes, I do Emissions work in CA.
    The good news is that there is really only 2 parts to the BMW EVAP system, the Canister-LDP Assembly and the purge valve. When I have repaired BMWs, the most common failure is the Canister-LDP Assembly which goes for about $700 for the part alone, sorry to say. Remember, a BMW is a high end., high performance car and they are VERY expensive when they need service.
