Prior to getting work done, we would get a check done with other repair shops and dealerships. We were always pleased with prices, type of work, and completion. Very professional is the way we look at them. I think that's covers it. They are always in the range of fair pricing. I'm just very pleased with them.

I was referred to EMC european motor cars by another las vegas land rover shop. ERIC at EMC set up my appointment Land Rover Discovery 2. All he would say is how great his mechanics were.I was needing a SIMPLE OBD 2 diagnostic scanner code read out. A very simple pug in device that takes a couple of minutes to get the codes.(auto zone does it for free) I was charged 100 dollars and never received any accurate code reader print out which I had requested. I was just told verbally that my cylinders 7 and 8 were misfiring and that I needed a complete head gasket job. (turned out to be only a bad set of spark plug wires)..I was blatantly lied too by ERIC.
The other service was to top off the Transmission fluid. This transmission takes only standard DEXTRON 3.The filter and fluid had been recently changed out and I was wanting to make sure that it was top the DEXTRON 3 fluid up correctly. When I came in to pick up my Land rover..ERIC ATTEMPTED to OVERCHARGE me another 50 dollars for 2 quarts of HIGH END CHF trans fluid whuch would have ruined my transmission..ERIC even attempted to argue with me about the FACTORY TRANS FLUID REQUIREMENTS...we looked on the internet and it turns out I was right he was BLATANTLY expensively WRONG...DEXTRON 3 for 9 dollars was all that was needed..so I pay for these so called services get in my car and discover that a 500 camera had been taken from the vehicle.it was hidden down inside the rear plastic tool box bins. I called Eric just to inform him that he had a THIEF in his midst..all his response was how great his mechanics were..and that they are all rich and dont need to steal anything...(except my MONEY$$) so then a couple of days later Im cleaning my car and notice where the OBD 2 scanner plug is located on the lower kick panel valance on drivers side had been removed and now was missing..it had been there when the car was dropped off to EMC as I had attempted to plug in my own code reader and all was intact with the panel and all...I located to OBD 2 plug that had been stuffed up under the dash and one of the plug wires had been cut..so now I know why the OBD 2 scanners would not work..and now know why I never received any code printouts.. so I called ERIC again and his response was nothing more than his typical response my mechanics are the best and they are rich they have no reason to steal anything...i was simply calling to see if the mechanic just forgot to reinstall the panel..he said IF MY MECHANIC HAS IT ILL CALL YOU BACK otherwise forget it...and OF COURSE I NEVER GOT ANY call back...no thank yous for your business...but only complete crap from ERIC...DO NOT SEND ANY VEHICLE TO EMC FOR ANT TYPE OF SERVICE IF YOU WANT TO HAVE AN HONEST SHOP...forget this place...its all true based on my experience..I wish it wasnt so....all I got was ATTITUDE from ERIC..for a VERY SIMPLE straight forward service request..its amazing that me the customer knows more than the mechanic and or SHOP owners etc...these guys are rip offs and absolutely have no idea what TRUTHFULNESS MEANS...thanks for nothing ERIC.

I've lived in Las Vegas for nearly six years now, and during that time, I've taken my 5-Series BMW to at least 5 different shops in the area. I'm a very picky customer and I also like to compare shops from time-to-time to make sure I am really getting the best service and the best deal possible.

In my opinion, European Motor Cars is place in Las Vegas to get work done on a BMW! When I go anywhere else, I always end-up paying too much or come away disappointed with the repair and/or the service.

Recently I've moved to Summerlin and still EMC was happy to have their driver take me all the way out to my house, after dropping off my car, AND they also picked me up again from my house when my vehicle was finished.

...but here is where EMC really showed themselves to be a phenomenal, customer-oriented, business:

Recently, they have not fixed my car in the best way possible.

So why does this make them a phenomenal service center?

...Because they called me the next day, and they made it right by me!

GOOD LUCK GETTING THAT KIND OF SERVICE FROM ANY OTHER BMW-SPECIALIZED REPAIR CENTER IN LAS VEGAS!!!

Keep in mind though, that while I'm a very picky customer and I know a little bit about my car (I sometimes do repairs on my car myself, when I have the time and energy), I am not one of THOSE people that thinks, "the customer is always right."

If all customers were always right, a few greedy ones would run every good business into bankruptcy with their idea that they are entitled to get everything for free, if they only yell enough.

...as I said, I am not one of THOSE customers (and you shouldn't be either).

Even so, when I left EMC after the most recent repair, I expressed dissatisfaction with the way in which they had serviced my car this time.

My car was running well and the original problem was eventually fixed completely, but I felt they could have handled the repair better.

I left the shop thinking I would definitely have to go somewhere else, the next time my car has a problem or needs to be serviced.

I had driven away. They already had my money at this point. They could have just written me off as a troublesome customer.
...but they didn't.

The office manager (who is in fact, more of the Chief Operations Officer :-), discussed my case with the owner during the night, and she called me the next day to make it right and win me back!

To me, the way in which they handled this disagreement, speaks about how professional and dedicated they are to giving their customers excellent service!

Any auto repair business, can seem friendly and helpful when everything is going well, but the quality that separates the best from the rest, is how the business deals with problems, contention and dissatisfaction.

European Motor Cars (EMC) is world-class !!

If you live in Las Vegas, drive a BMW, and want to save a little bit of money but still get top-notch work done on your car, you should not take your bimmer anywhere else!

p.s.
They work on lots of other makes of cars, besides BMWs.

I personally cannot talk about how well their Techs service other makes of car, but I'm sure they are just as skilled in working with all the other makes they specialize in.

To me, exceptional customer service is much more difficult to find in an automotive repair shop, and since EMC has this, I would seriously consider going to them with ANY make of car.

Great owner and service. Very honest and spot on with estimates. Pick up and drop off service is a great perk. Always get back a clean car that runs great. I have taken my MB SLK's there and also a Jaguar I had awhile back. Much better prices than the MB dealer. Not elegant or high class waiting area, but the ride home is much more pleasant than sitting in a crowded room watching CNN all day with old coffee.
