Feel very comfortable with these people; I don't hesitate to ask questions which they always answer in laymans' terms.

Check Engine light went on as I drove out of the repair shop. Bummer.

Reply from European Auto Works – AureliousFebruary 09, 2013

I'm sorry to hear that the Check engine light came on.
As I'm sure you know we would at no charge take a look at why the check engine light is on for you.
As an older client once said, That's why pencils have erasers on the end - so you could fix your mistakes.
Thanks for the Posting and let us take care of it for you.

I mentioned the problem regarding shifting into gears which they claim the VW is OK, yet i still have issues. Price is too high.

Honest service, but a bit pricey.

Some recomended repairs not really needed .

Reply from European Auto Works – AureliousFebruary 09, 2013

Yes Lucian,
Recommended repairs are just that, Recommendations.
We can all ignore the recommendations till it becomes a major issue.
That's why we prioritize the repairs in order of importance.
Please call if you have any questions.

Great Shop. Good advice. Paperwork took too long though.

September 20, 2012

A bit on the expensive side Also a lot of nickel and dime'ing especially after considering the repair bill already being significant

I felt people wanted to give good care to my car. Attention was very professional and personal at the same time.

I Like how professional and transparent they are. I love the fact that for lesser money you get same level of service as you will get in Authorized dealer.

September 17, 2012

Knowledgeable and conscientious. Make recommendations and provide alternatives. Will advise on other services that could be done with reasonable advice on level of criticality, impact, risks, and cost trade-offs.

I took the car in without an appointment and they were able to fix it in a couple of hours. Very responsive.

I'm not generally a giver of top marks on surveys of this type, but the guys at EAW deserve them. Not noted on the survey was the excellent customer service and meticulous attention to detail. Keep up the good work Ralph, John, Cliff, and all the guys at EAW!

In addition to making current repair, they provided a printout and estimated costs of items that need, or will need repairing in near future.

July 19, 2012

My car had been washed when I picked it up, which I had not expected. A nice touch.

Verified CustomerJuly 12, 2012

The best part of the experience at European Auto Works is the customer service. Their computers track manufacturers recommended maintenance schedules and they also track things to watch for in your vehicle. All potential repairs are well explained to the customers to enable good decisions.

Verified CustomerJuly 12, 2012

I trust them.

Verified CustomerJuly 12, 2012

European Auto works nailed my Volvo problem, unlike the dealer, who actually refused to acknowledge there had been a recall for this PRECISE problem...they lied! Everyone at European Auto Works treats you with respect, courtesy and, most importantly, HONESTY! These are the people you want on your team!

Everybody at European Auto Works I ever talked to or had any contact with is extremely professional and courteous. They are responsive on inquiries and prices are well in line with the level of service received. I have actively recommended them to many of my friends and colleagues and will continue to do so.

I arrived at noon to have the oil leak on my Mercedes checked. I left my car with the understanding that I should return after lunch to discuss their recommendations. Three hours later, nothing had been done. So I waited another two hours, at which point I was told that they had no idea what was wrong, but had a list of what the problem might be. I asked for a printout and was greeted with the news that I owed them $64.99 for their nonnews. They gave me a canned printout. I feel really ripped off.

Thanks, Ralph, for calling me about my experience. I appreciate your follow-up note that "If you should try us again, I will personally see to it that you don't have another experience like that here at my shop."

Reply from European Auto Works – AureliousFebruary 09, 2013

Hi Johanna,
I just looked at the Invoice when you were here for the above mentioned work back in October. (over three months ago)
I do have to apologize if we did not keep our agreed upon estimated time of completion.
As for your assumption that we didn't know what was going on with your car is simply not true.
We clearly identified three area's of oil leakage on the engine and gave you specific cost to repair each one.
I think it's a shame that you see no value in the time and effort that was invested in your 1999 Mercedes C280 with 151,000 Miles on it.
Over and beyond the oil leak we gave you an itemized list of other issues with the car. (Suspension, Tires etc.) We consulted with you on prioritizing the repairs etc.
I'm sorry that you don't see the value in the amount of the work we did.
We not only gave you the Oil Leak diagnosis at a price we agreed on prior to starting the inspection, but we also gave you a lot more information on the condition of your Mercedes.
I call that value.
Take care
Ralph and Team

European Auto Works has been serving my cars for over 20 years. I was referred to them when I had a problem with my BMW that no other shop in town could resolve. Since then I have used them exclusively except one out of state shop (a nightmare) for my daughter's Volvo, my BMW and now an Audi.

If you are looking for a shop that has well trained and conscientious technicians, one that pays attention to detail and goes about every aspect of the business with professionalism, I would highly recommend that you talk with Ralph or Cliff at European Auto Works.
