Blinking check engine light??? Sounds like you have a misfire. When is the last time you had a tune up? plugs wires, pcv valve, fuel filter, air filter, cleaned the throttle body??? What is the egr code? insufficient flow or pintle position?

sounds like you have several problems. as already said, missfire is the reason for blinking light. if you continue to drive that way, you will damage the converter. as for the egr, it probably needs to be replaced. carbon depositis are normal in the passage and you may have deposits from the missfire condition. take it to a shop and have them pinpoint your issues.

the ets light goes off when you tap the button on the gear shift. the check engine light can come on if the gas cap is not tight enough. make sure it clicks a few times
