My car leaks freon and won't hold a charge for more than 1-2 days. Took to repair shop and was told what it would cost to replace evaporator. Can you give me an estimated repair cost.

expensive job. full dash removal with removing heater case to access. about 7 hours plus cooling system drain/fill. evac and charge with dryer replacement. at our shop about 1000-1200

i literally got mine fixed yesterday I paid about 100 bucks for the part, and the prices for labor I was told from 500 to 1200 , luckily I know a guy who did it for 200.
