2002 Jaguar X-Type Question: Estimate for transmission control module - used or new.

Looking for a estimate for replacing the transmission control module on a 2002 X-Type Jaguar. Looking for estimate using new and used part/parts.

    1.4 hour to replace.
    do not suggest used one.

    Unfortunately this is a very expensive part. Parts and labor for this installation will be $1200 before tax. I almost never do this, but I would recommend a dealer or a shop specializing in Jaguar to do this for you.

    We have worked on many 02 Jaguars have never replaced a TCM. I would reccomend that you get a proffesional to diagnose your Jag or get a second opinion. The most common issue for an X-type is a bad Valvebody assembly.
