2002 Dodge Stratus Question: Estimate for changing timing belt

Question

When I put in for an estimate to replace the timing belt, what does it cover? What all needs to be done when replacing the timing belt? Is it easy enough for someone with average knowledge of repairing vehicles to fix?

The estimates on RepairPal for timing belt include the labor and the belt. Many shops rightly recommend also doing the water pump and tensioners, if the car has them, at the same time. This often adds about an hour, and the parts cost of the pump and tensioners, to the job.

Timing belt replacement is not easy and should be left to a professional.
