I have a 2003 Chevrolet Blazer, and have been experiencing intermittent problems with the speedometer. Apparently this is a problem that Chevrolet has with their speedometer, but with my vehicle having high mileage it is not eligible for the recall. I recently priced have the speedometer repaired, and was price at around $200. This is more money than I would like to spend, and am hoping that there is someone out there who can tell me how to fix it or if there is a cheaper place to get it done. Or if it would be best just to find an aftermarket one.

    what did they say was wrong? the speedo sensor is at the rear of the transfer case and is out in the open. it is easy to change but there is a gear on the end that wears out as well and needs to be checked.
