I noticed yesterday that the temp guage was running higher than normal, car would not produce heat. Shut car off and started again, heat worked fine. Checked the coolant and the reserve tank was almost empty. Ran the car about 20 minutes today and had to fill reserve tank again.

rpclements February 27, 2013, 17:04ReplyJourneymanWell car not heating cuz coolant really low. Need to find cause of leak so not to overheat motor. It's probably a small leak in radiator or heater hose but need to check it out.

MasterNeed to find location of leak quickly. Check water pump housing and all hoses. If you cannot locate leak.....take to a shop ASAP to locate leak and get estimate. You do not want to risk continuously overheating the engine.
