Question: epoxy failed on electric windows

Question

Visitor, 2.0L 4 Cylinder, Frisco, TX, March 30, 2010, 20:29

Have had an epoxy problem with my window, several times. I had it fixed today, but think the cost was out of range. I was informed all that they did was affix the clips back to the window, no replacement of parts, or anything like that. I am just curious, what a fair price would be for that service. It was done to both driver and passenger front windows.

Labor rate to replace the window regulator in each door is 1.3 hour per door, that would include removing the door inner trim panel and straight forward replacement of the regulator, re-glueing the window would be about the same labor operation. Hyundai as a car manufacturer put a lot of free technical information and workshop manuals on line for Hyundai owners. Check out www.hmaservice.com lots of great information.
