I went to several other mechanics that told me a variety of stories of what was wrong with my vehicle...then I took it to Engine Works. They advised me of the trouble with Triple A batteries and took the battery out and gave me a new one and I have never again had trouble starting the vehicle. Others wanted me to replace the starter, the alternator, you name it. Engine Works was honest.
I've been bringing my cars to Eric Quan's shop for the last 18 years. His examinations are spot on, he always backs his workmanship, and he understands the value of his customers time, money and word of mouth. Over the last 18 years I've brought him many makes of vehicle from Volvo, BMW, Mercedes, SAAB, Toyota, Honda, Izuzu and Saturn. He works on anything and recently purchased a Toyota Prius as a "learning vehicle" and the specific tools/equipment it takes to works on these hybrid cars. Another thing to take note of is that Eric doesn't have a high turn over rate of employees. We've referred all of our friends and co-workers to Engine Works over the years and will continue to do so into the future.
These people are great! I explained my car's overheating problem over the phone, the response gave me confidence that they would find and solve the problem and not try to sell me a large and unnecessary engine repair.
The shop is super clean (unusual in my experience). The staff is polite, gracious, and very helpful. They listen.
They solved the problem, suggested one additional maintenance update and now my little Focus is ready for the next 100,000.
I wish I had known of them long ago.
