Question: engine wont turn tranny. can spin flexplate by hand, where do i start

while driving at hiway speed tranny stopped and engine rpms revved up. i can turn the flexplate with my hand through the acess port. is this a tranny issue or flexplate issue?

    if it was flex plate i would think trk would not start. i suspect trans issues

    engine wont restart after i shut it off, doesnt seem to spin fast enough to crank

    Bolts that secures torque converter to flex plate are missing or broken! Before this happened did you hear any clanging noises or other strange noise? I think what you were turning was the torque converter. Will the starter turn the engine over now?

    engine wont crank now, cant get enough rpms. there was a slight rattle, i thought something was vibrating, havent noticed any missing bolts, am going to drop tranny tommorrow.
