1998 Jeep Wrangler Question: engine won't run
Answer #1patrick mannion from Greg Solow's Engine Room, October 10, 2010, 14:52Master
It could be so many things, fuel pump pressure and fuel pump volume delivery need to be tested, on cranking the relay closes and allows the fuel pump to run. If the fuel pump is getting power it should run the pump or else the pump is bad. If the pump is good it needs to be "turned on" the relay and computer needs to see a signal that the engine is cranking over and other inputs before the computer in your car says run the fuel pump. You will need a wiring diagram to check for power, fuses relays ect......
