Question: engine will only in start position

wmag, 3.5L V6, Ellenburg Center, NY, June 08, 2010, 10:33
 Rookie

engine quit driving down the road. Will start and run as long as key is in start position. when released to run, engine stalls. happened twice when raining. tps getting wet?. Where is tps located?

    Don't replace the TPS, that isn't your problem. This sounds more like an ignition switch or part of the ignition/starting circuit. Don't start replacing parts, take that money and pay a shop to diagnose this for you. Tell them you wish to make the repairs if you want to save money, just be careful, too many people spend much more trying to do it themselves rather than have a professional do it.
