A no crank or no start condition may develop due to electronic lockup of the wireless control module (WCM), also referred to as the Sentry Key Remote Entry Module (SKREEM). When this module fails the remote keyless entry system will also not operate. The WCM is commonly replaced to correct this concern.

all dash lights come on, radio works, headlights on, but motor will not crank, tried removing IOD fuse to reset WCM (this worked once before) not this time. Tried to disconnect battery to reset and that did not work
On and Off again my 2014 Jeep Compass won't start. All the lights come on, radio works, everything is perfect except it won't crank. It goes all the way to the third and thats it. The ETC light and check engine light come on only when it doesn't turn on. At times it will last just 5 mins, other times more than 24 hours. Just leaving me stranded. I've taken my car to two dealerships and they can not find anything wrong. What is the solution to this if nothing is showing up. I love my car so much, but its just causing me so much stress that no one can find a problem. There clearly is a problem.
Went to work and it was fine. Left work and would not do anything
Engined turns over but will not start.
All dash lights...won't crank over .. nothing!
Won't start but everything else works fine
Car would not turn over, all dash lights on. Replaced starter & battery. Not the problem. Took back to dealership and we were notified it was the WCM.
Bought new. Engine won't turn, but lights work. First issue encountered was when the transmission stopped working, while on the road, less than a year ago (11months). Now, this bull****. Worst purchase ever! Second jeep I've owned within 5 years. First jeep (liberty renegade) stopped functioning after an oil change from the dealership. No more Jeep purchases for me. Unreliable pieces of crap I've purchased.
Jeep Compass 2007- Engine wont turn over. Etc light and check engine light on. No codes found. Have replaced everything on this Jeep. Worst purchase ive ever made.
Car would not start. had it towed to Jeep dealer... Fortunately, I got extended lifetime warranty... Cost $100.. now only 96 more years of warranty left
same deal as the rest running fine one minute then put key in all dash lights come on no sound from the starter, hearing that it is the wireless control module, getting kinda pissed I hear you can't even fix it yourself because it must be programed to the key at an extra charge there should be a replacement part that bypasses the security key we don't live anywhere near a high theft area I could care less about the security system by you make me pay out the rear section to replace the crappy system you put in
No start or crank. Key fob will not lock/unlock doors. Will take to dealer for repair.
Car sometimes wont start but, still has battery life
Dash lights lite up, little acceleration in the gas. I could stil drive it at idle speed. towed it to the jeep dealership they said it was the control module. It did reset itself after they looked at it, luckly cause I didn't have the 1400.00 they wanted to replace it... Pretty sure this should be a recall, but jeep is dragging there feet because the same thing is happening the Laredo series and that has a recall...
It was a cold winter day, the car was just plain dead. I had it towed to Clay Cooley Chrysler Jeep, they could not find a thing wrong with it. I told them what the problem was, as I had read about it online before. They had the car for a week and could not duplicate the problem. It started right up at the dealer. While they had the car I had them do the 60,000 mile maintenance service on it.
Just happened to me, 2014 Jeep Compass, had the keyless entry installed on Friday and Saturday my car wouldn't start.
