Question: engine types to use

I want to know the types engines which could be used to replace the petrol engine in my D21 pick up. i want to use diesel engine instead of the petrol and what could be some of the problems associated with changing my engine to diesel. urgent repply needed

    Dear KB, This would require some fabrication and a lot of fuel system modification. You would also have to construct motor mounts and use a transmission that would fit the Diesel engine and fabricate a drive shaft as well. It would be far cheaper to just buy a diesel truck. As for smaller Diesel Engines Volvo, VW, Isuzu, some very old Nissans had diesels, etc. Again, this is a really involved process in my experience. I have done gasoline to diesel and diesel to gasoline conversions and the customer had to have a lot of money. Try Googling this question and see if some folks out there have already begun working on this conversion, you never know. Good Luck!
