1993 Nissan Pickup (D21) Q&A
1993 Nissan Pickup (D21) Question: engine types to use
Dear KB, This would require some fabrication and a lot of fuel system modification. You would also have to construct motor mounts and use a transmission that would fit the Diesel engine and fabricate a drive shaft as well. It would be far cheaper to just buy a diesel truck. As for smaller Diesel Engines Volvo, VW, Isuzu, some very old Nissans had diesels, etc. Again, this is a really involved process in my experience. I have done gasoline to diesel and diesel to gasoline conversions and the customer had to have a lot of money. Try Googling this question and see if some folks out there have already begun working on this conversion, you never know. Good Luck! - dandd
I just rebuilt my D21 and had it bored 30 over put it back together and with a brand new oil pump it will not prime oil at all.
