engine starts on 2005 Nissan Frontier

engine starts and runs/gauges and dash lights work for a second then quit , engine will not rev up ! something electrical i'm thinking

thanks for the info superbob.I took my truck to the dealership, after about 2 weeks and 1,500.00 dollars. my truck runs now. but now my brake & abs lights are on now. And there is a noise like the bearings are going out either in the a/c compresser, or the 400.00 dollar alternator they just installed. these are new problems that didn't exist before i took my truck in to be fix .this is getting to be rediculous !!!

The distributor shaft bearing can become rusty, and seize causing the engine to stall or not start. The failed distributor will commonly require replacement.
