Question: engine shuts off

 Rookie

when i turn on the blower motor to get heat while driving the engine shuts off and when i try to restart there is no response from the ignition and radio.. however the headlights and emergency flashers still operate.. If i let the car set afew min it restarts ???????

  These types of electrical problems can be tricky to diagnose. You should take it to an experienced Ford mechanic, from their experience they may be able to tell you what it is right away, where as a mechanic with little Ford experience may take hours to figure out the problem.

• My 1994 Ford Explorer shuts off when I switch gears.
  The truck will turn on no problem, but as i go to pull it out or go forward it shuts off. If it does happen to run it only goes for 5-10 min and will shut off as soon as i break or slow down.
