Question: engine shuts off

 Rookie

will be driving engine suts off like you turnd key off have replaced swith still turns off shop has had computer on it. have checked fuel pump and ok will let it sit for about minute then it starts back up it does not happen at regular times may run for weeks before it happens

    These types of problems are very difficult to diagnose because of the intermittent nature. I hear the pumps are a problem with these, but instead of pressure, you might have someone check the amperage draw of the pump, this can indicate a failing pump. The pressure will probably be OK, unless the problem is occurring. Have any trouble codes been stored?
