For the last month, the temperature gauge has been running hotter than normal. Took into dealership service department and they said thermostat was going out and they replaced it, along with a flush and fill. I still have the same problem! The car runs hot even on the freeway and with summer coming, I am afraid it might overheat. I don't hear the cooling fan coming on, so could that be the problem or could it be the water pump?

Could be the water pump, Radiator core clogged, Radiator cap not holding pressure. Better have a tech check this before you damage your engine.

okay, I have the car back in the service department of the dealership. They can't get the temperature gauge to move up. I told them to drive it on the freeway for about 15 minutes, because that is when the temperature gauge starts to move up(hotter). They said they checked the cooling fan and it seems to be working correctly. Why don't they look at the radiator or water pump is beyond me! I don't think they will find it and fix it though. Very frustrated! Don't know what to do!
