I was wondering what the usual cost is for a 1986 honda prelude si 2.0 engine, and what it would cost to be replaced. They engine was over worked wich caused ti to overheat and now it's flooded with antifreeze. Please help.

MasterTaking the engine out and replacing it (transferring parts from one engine to another) would take 12 to 14 hours. If its a second hand engine you may want to replace other components like the timing belt , timing belt components and water pump to prevent a duplication of labor later and inspect/replace clutch components if the car ha a manual transmission. Closely inspect coolant hoses, the radiator, thermostat and other parts!
