Autozone has rebuilt engines available at their retail stores and the labor to remove and replace is approx 13 to 15 hours. http://www.parts.com/ has short blocks available online for $1089 plus shipping and the labor to install is approx 26 hrs plus the cost of having your cyl heads refurbished as for used I would call your local truck wreckers and ask about installation of a used engine, In the san francisco area I use http://www.santaclaratruckwreckers.com/ Maybe they would know of someone in your area.
