The engine oil pan gasket can develop a leak. Leaking oil may accumulate on the exhaust system resulting in a burning smell. Replacing the gasket should correct this leak.

Leaking oil, havent fixed it yet, hoping its just the oil pan gasket.
oil pan gasket pushing out of place replaced gasket and pan with new one piece reinforced gasket from fel pro
leaks oil from the rear of engine between the transmission
Not only the gasket, but the oil pan itself developed a hole and needed replacing.
Started leaking from front of oil pan, trying to diagnose by using a family mechanic. (1996 Ford F-150 XLT)
Leaking where sensor is connected.
Not fixed yet,,Pan gasket up towards front of engine...
Oil pan leaking and driver side of motor is leaking as well. Right in front of the distributor there is a plate that has a gasket. Not fixed yet I'm working on it.
oil pan gasket broken and pushed out. Causing a pcv leak check engine light. As well as oil.
I switched my valve cover gaskets to stop my oil leak, but it only partially worked. I still had another leak, one that went right onto my o2 sensor and starter. I assumed it was my oil pan gasket, but I didn't have the resources to pay a shop to switch the gasket or do it myself. So I ordered blue devil oIL stop leak and sealer and so far it hasn't leaked since.
