I have a 2006 Chevy Impala. A month after receiving an oil change, the system advised my engine oil is low and that I need to add oil. This happened twice already. I obtained an oil change 8-31-2010. They did not advise me that I had any type of leak. What could be wrong?

I ran into the same problem you might want to check if you only paid for a 5 quart oil change cause the 2006 takes 6 quarts and if it one quart low the warning will come on.

My car did this. Oil light sensor was replaced for $100 plus labor. But it did take care of the annoying noise
