Question: Engine Oil

 Rookie

I just went TOYOTA dealer doing 5000 miles maintanance. Toyota tech didnt change engine oil. When I asked they said that corolla 11 using special syntetic oil, so corolla need change engine oil every 10000. And when I checked manual book of TOYOTA, it's true. Is it OK to change engine oil with syntetic oil every 10000 miles for corolla 11.

    A lot of car manufacturers are doing this GM are saying you must use "their" oil, on my own car I chance the oil every 3,ooo miles but I think I would change even synthetic oil every 6oook
