2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Question: Engine noise

 Rookie

When I leave from say a stop my engine taps really bad but levels off and runs quiet at cruise speed can you help?

  May be an exhaust leak or an engine knock under load. Better get it looked at, it's impossible to know what to do without hearing the noise and performing a few checks/tests in person.

  Try using Lucas Oil Stabilizer in the next oil change, i used it in my 2000 Silverado and it leveled it out when i change the oil. It will come back when it close to changing it again.
