Question: engine missing badly and poor fuel efficiency

engine has been tuned up and transmisssion rebuilt but after all this work it is still missing badly and I have had poor fuel efficiency for some time 20.9 mpg city,

    You really need to have a test done to see what is going wrong. Also - not certain what was done for your "tune up". Sounds like something still requires attention in that area.

    As far as fuel economy -- you have to of course address other known issues before looking there. Hopefully your needed repairs will solve your economy issue as well.
