2007 Ford Taurus Q&A

2007 Ford Taurus Question: Engine Makes Noise when starting

My 2007 ford taurus with 60K miles makes a clicking / grinding noise when I first start the car. It makes the noise only when the car has been sitting for longer than 30 Minutes. I only drive short trips in the city. I'm afraid the engine is not getting oil during the start up. -
Answer 1
better have a tech check this, sometimes when a starter is worn out the gear won't fully engage the flywheel and will grind away at the flywheel and damage the teeth and ruin the flywheel. -
Answer 2
Cheap faulty oil filter--switch to Motor craft -
