2004 Mercury Sable

Question: Engine light is on.

Took the car to Auto zone to have it check and it was diagnosed with "running lean". I changed the oil, changed oil filter and used gas cleaner but engine light reminds on.
What else can I do?

Have the MAP sensor cleaned and also check for vacuum leaks.
A smoke machine will pick up the small leaks that are hard to find.

Thanks. I'll ask a mechanic to check on that.
how about the oxygen sensors or B1 and B2?
someone told me that could be too.
I have no clue about cars whatsoever so I really
appreciate all the suggestions. : )

If the garage/mechanic says you need oxygen sensors, ask them
to do the 2 things i mentioned first.

A dirty MAP sensor or vacuum leak will set off O2 sensor codes.
    Also check for exhaust leak.
