2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Question: engine light comes on after air filter change

I changed the air inlet filter and noticed the check engine light come on, whats going on?

    Well, first off - have the vehicle checked for failure codes. This will give you clues.

    In that area, though, you do have a mass air flow sensor. Make sure it is not damaged in any way, and that the plugs is securely attached. Also, make sure your air tube is attached securely and the air box itself is sealed. Sometimes when you change the filter, things don't seat right. A mass air leak will cause the light once running too.

    hi, the engine light come on meaning your car has the obd2 code problem, and you need a scan tool to read the code out and clear the code, you can take it to the technican repair, they will help you.
