Bartholomew, 2.7L 4 Cylinder, Perryopolis, PA, November 13, 2010, 10:51

I have a 2003 toyota tacoma 4x4 2.7 liter. Emgine light staying on. This is what I have done so far. I changed the emission sensors on exhaust. Had engine light cleared. Engine light came back on. Replaced air mass flow sensor. Engine light is cleared as of this morning 11/13/10. Noticed recently having trouble starting after filling with fuel. It starts ok in the morning when cold but later in the day after work have trouble starting.

Not sure why air fuel and mass air sensors replaced, did you have codes for them?Make sure to use oem parts for best results. Also when you get gas never keep adding fuel after it shuts off the pump. The truck OVRS (on board vapor recovery system) is made for vapors only and you can force raw gas in to the evap. canister, this will give you a rich runnning condition that is more noticeable after warm up.

The codes for both sensors did appear. That does make sense about adding too much fuel but I haven't completely filled it up in a long while. I usually just put $20.00 at a time so that only gives me a half a tank.Where is the evap. canister located??
