Rookie

I have to put water in radiator every morning. Car doesn't run hot. But you can see the water coming from the left side of the engine where the plugs go in at. I haven't been ablt to get anyone to tell me exactly what the problem is only that it will cost me $400 labor plus parts Can you help?

If they gave you an estimate for parts and labor, then they must have a good idea as to what the problem is. Can you call back to the shop that gave you an estimate and ask them?

It wasn't a shop actually, just telling different mechanics what's going on. I've tried different things that they've said and the problem still exists. I just thought this forum would give me the exact diagnosis

If it is the same as a 98, the intake manafold is plastic. The EGR tub is stainless and comes through it which degrades the plastic. The solution to keep it cool was to run coolant through the plastic manifold. It didn't work over the long run. The replacement manafold has a new aluminum tub that is reduced size which shouldn't degrade the plastic.
