Ford Aerostar Problem Report

Ford Aerostar Engine Oil Leaks

(13 reports)

Engine oil leaks are known to develop around the rear crankshaft (main) seal and engine oil pan gasket.

I have a 95 ford aerostar with 115000 miles and it still runs great. I had the rear main seal replaced and also the oil pan gasket twice in one week and it is still leaking oil. After spending over 1200 dollars for this I have no clue as to what to do next. Transmission was pulled 3 times to find the problem.First time changed rear seal second time changed oilpan gasket third time changed rear seal again and its still leaking. If anyone knows the secret to fixing this problem please post it. Thank you -
Had leak since owned car at 68000 miles. Currently has 205000 miles never fixed due to minimal leakage amount -
