Model Years Affected: 1992, 1993, 1994

Engine Affected: 2.0L 4 Cylinder Turbo

Verified

At higher mileages (125,000+) the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor may intermittently stop working, especially when the vehicle is fully warmed up. This can cause the engine to stall unexpectedly.

  • Visitor, , 2.0L 4 Cylinder Turbo, 130,000 mi

The car would idle at a higher-than-normal rpm. The check engine light would intermittently turn on. The problem was fixed by replacing the engine coolant temperature sensor
