have you been driving it for the last yhear?? if you have, driving with the missfire may have caused the internal engine damage. flushing the motor now may have been to late after the damage had been done. what exactly did they say was wrong with the motor?? you can shop around for a low mileage used motor or get a price on a rebuilt motor if you are looking at long term on this car. Gm, they really didn't say what was wrong with motor. Just said need new one and he found one with I believe he said 33,000 miles on it and would cost me 2400.00, with everyting done, like winterization stuff. No have not driven since 1/10/10. Had mva issues. Plus went to gas her up this morning ckeck light on and oil light flickers Oh, he did say I had low oil pressure light, that's why I think he said I needed new motor.
Car does not knock at idle or under load only when rpms drop and then the knocks a few seconds and stops. 255,000 miles oil changed every 3000 miles

My Toyota has 210000 miles on it. I've never had a problem but lately I've been hearing a rattling/knocking sound coming from the belt side of the engine. Oil is good, any idea on what it could be?
Ok here is the skinny. I have a 91 Corolla. I noticed that my oil was low, so I added a quart. No big deal done this before. It has over 308k on it so using a quart every 3 month or oil change isn'...
