Engine Idle on 1997 Buick Century

My '97 buick century has a rough idle at long stops. It tends to run hot and i have to refill the water tank every two days. how can i remedy this? any information would be great.

I would check to see if you have a blown headgasket before making any repairs to this. If the headgasket is not leaking then check for other coolant leaks, vacuum leaks and check the diagnostic codes in the engine computer. http://repairpal.com/testing-for-head-gasket-failure
