I recently had an oil change along with a fuel injector flush and 4 new tires. since that time there has been what sounds like an engine growl. However the noise is not there until around 45 mph. This car has 100,000 miles on it with good maintenance and little problems prior to this. Any ideas on what that growl could be?

The growl could be due to a tire tread design, especially if the new tires are 'all-weather'. The noise will be more evident when you get on the freeway.

I had a low frequency engine growl that went on for a long time. Sounded like it was coming from the floor/gear-shift. Turned out it was the carrier bearings in the differential. I'm no mechanic but I read up on the noises it was making, took it to my mechanic then another he recommended who then sent me to a transmission specialist. Cost a bundle but it's fixed now!
