I want to put a 1996 honda v-tec 2.2 motor into my 1995 honda non v-tec motor 2.2. salavage yards say its possible if the 6th id digit is a 1,5 or 7. its a match at 5 for both cars. But what is involed with the exchange. and why would two injectors not work!

    Sounds like a huge headache to me. When you swap not only engine years but the type of engine - you have processor, sensors and wiring issues. Plus things like an injector issue as you mentioned. I would strongly advise against such a swap. However, someone apparently knows what you are trying to attempt since they are suggesting injectors won't work...

    yes, this swap has been done and trying tocorrect some problems. used 95 injectors, and basicaly swaped every thing off the 95 motor to the 96. Is there something that could be wrong to cause the injectors not to work? or could two just be bad?

    I'm thinking you have completely different engine management and it probably just does not work without serious accommodations. And there's no book or manual on this sort of thing, so no idea what will fix it without trial and error..
