2002 Toyota RAV4

Question: engine either seens like it runs out of gas or dies at around town driving

the engine runs rough or even dies at low speeds like around town driving. Usally when cold.
had fuel injection flushed and throttle body serviced by Toyota. Changed the plugs, but still is doing the same thing. I believe if I the idle control valve that may work. Is this correct.

    Really need to Check for Codes, most Toyotas will set a Check Engine Light to help you Diagnose a problem. It could be the Idle Air Control Valve, but be sure to inspect for codes.

    cleaning the iac did not fix the problem
    the codes are
    P0300
    P0301
    P0302
    P0303
    P0304

    i had a similar problem. it turned out to be the oxygen sensor which became disconnected. my mechanic diagnosed and reconnected and now it runs smoothly.
