Question: engine die while I drive

 Rookie

my car will start fine and run fine , but when a slow down or make a stop , the it will die , I will start it again with no problem .

  I would check your computer for codes and trace down any code problems. Then check your Idle Air Control Motor. Also, make sure that your Throttle Body is clean of any carbon, because that can cause dying at stop signs. Also make sure that your EGR valve is not sticking open. I am pretty sure this 4 cyl engine has one.

  I would also check the idle air control sometimes you could buy the special cleaner for that type of sensor and sometimes it works, i had a car with that problem clean the sensor and it solve the problem.

  i had the same problem and mine was the map sensor, do not pay a dealer to change this part, you can change it yourself, the piece screws in and screws out you can find a description of the map sensor and where it is located on the internet.
