engine cutting out while driving at steady speed on 2000 Chevrolet Tracker

When I am driving down the road the engine just dies for a second or 2. it doesnt matter what gear I am in but it is worse at 55mph and in 5th. its like you turn the key of and on real quick bucking. I have new coil packs and plugs installed NO difference.

Mine started doing this after I went to a gas station we knew had water in the tank. It has taken me many tanks of gas, almost running it dry and heat in the tank to get it to where it only does it occasionally. Mine would die when I was at lower RPM's or at lights. Hubby is replacing fuel filter today.
