2005 Suzuki Reno Question: engine cam problem

 Rookie

The engine light came on while driving, took to dealer, he said it was a cam switch problem. What would be the approximate cost of this repair. He said we could drive it, but the car could 'quit' at any time. ??? any comments?

    Sounds like you mean 'Camshaft Positon Sensor' (CMP) malfunction. The car may run with this problem but you need to address it. Your emissions will be up, your gas consumption will be down and the engine won't run right. It also won't last as long as it would if it were running right.
