The engine block freeze plugs are not hard to change if an engine is out of the car but in many cases they are hard to get at once the engine is in the car. I am not sure how much axcess you have to the frost plug you may have to take some other stuff out of your way. Freeze plugs can be a "cup type" or "disc type" when replacing the plug see if is available in brass they are less prone to corrosion failure.
