what are diffrance between a 4.ol v6 sohn and a 4.ol v6

    The 4.0L single overhead camshaft (SOHC) is a 4-liter V6 with a single cam on top of each cylinder head to operate the valves.
    A cam-in-block (called overhead valve, abbreviated OHV) V6 has a camshaft in the engine block, with pushrods going through the cylinder heads to operate the valves.
    I believe the engine choices in '97 were a 4.0L SOHC, a 4.0L OHV and a 5.0L V8 OHV.
