Question
My check engine light comes on at about 40 mph, I pull over disconnect the hot battery lead and its like it never happened? I hooked up the OBD II scanner and get a code misfire, I changed the plugs and wires and still there's a stutter and the light comes on at about 40 mph. What can I do to solve this Eng. light prob?
Answer #1
You may have a bad coil, injector, or something else. Is the code for a specific cylinder?
Reply
Yes the code read out said cylinders 1&4 which is the same side of the coil pack.
Thanks

If the 1 coil supplies those 2 cylinders, that may be it. Can you swap the coils and see if the codes change cylinders?

First off I broke the wire connector. One must need a special Korean tool to remove those, anyway, I switched the plug wires and the feed wires and got a different readout it was 3&2 so I would assume the coil is bad according to your suggestions. Thanks a bunch, now to try and locate a wire end and a coil. Take care
