how can I disable the electronic message center?

I'm not sure, there are two fuses that feed the instrument panel and the message center, which are one unit. You might try removing the fuses one at a time and see if just the message center part is disabled with the removal of only one of the fuses. The fuses numbers 16 & 17 in the interior fuse box. Gently pry the message center up and away from the dashboard. Unplug the connector and press the message center back down until you are ready to plug it back in.

I need help with my 95 mark8 the door ajar message stays on but the doors are shut and the lights go out. is there anyway to trick

WHY DO YOU WANT IT INOP. IF ITS DUE TO THE AIR RIDE MESSAGE I CAN TELL YOU HOW TO TRICK THE MESSAGE CENTER INTO THINKING ITS WORKING CORRECTLY.gmantlr@yahoo.com
